If luxurious, high-quality makeup is what you’re into, then girl are you going to love what I’ve got to share.
Mirenesse Cosmetics have been dominating the beauty industry with their top-notch beauty products for a while now. Luckily for me, I had the chance to partner with Mirenesse & try out some of their crowd favourites.
But before I get into the nitty gritty & tell you just how amazing their products are, let me point out why Mirenesse stands out from the crowd in such a huge industry.
All Mirenesse Cosmetics products are cruelty-free & clinically tested.
And, they support Breast Cancer, Ovation Cancer & the Fred Hollows Foundation and many other causes through their company. So, when you buy from Mirenesse, you’re helping those who need it. Isn’t that incredible?!
Now it’s time to get into the good stuff – let’s dive straight in, shall we!
Collagen Cushion Tone Correcting Primer
Before I start, I have to be a little girl for a second here and point out the fact that this primer is RAINBOW. How cool is that?!
Each of the colour-correcting shades serves a different purpose. The mint green shade is perfect for hiding spots & redness whilst the yellow banana shade brightens skin & fixes discolouration. The apricot shade, the one I probably need most, hides dark under eye circles, veins & sun spots. Mix them
Mix them all together and you get a pretty impressive cocktail of colour-correcting tones for the perfect base.
This primer is unlike any other I’ve ever tried. The consistency is rather thin, feels soft on the skin & gives an almost airbrushed look to my complexion.
When I’m applying individual shades to my face for targeted colour-correcting, I use my finger to gently blend the product in. For an overall airbrushed base, the applicator included by Mirenesse Cosmetics is perfect. A quick dab into the product & then blending all over the face & voila, plastic surgery in a compact! 😉
Liquid Silk Foundation
Despite the fact that I already have a tonne of foundations in my collection, I just had to test out a few from Mirenesse Cosmetics. I mean, how else will I know if I prefer them over my usual favourites?!
First foundation on the chopping block – the Mirenesse Cosmetics Liquid Silk Foundation.
Perfectly packaged in a sleek pump bottle, the Liquid Silk Foundation is just beautiful to look at. The consistency is a lot thinner than I’d imagined for a foundation in a pump bottle, however, it gives off the perfect amount of coverage. Whether you’re aiming for a medium, fresh-faced finish or want to build up a fuller coverage, either way will work well with this foundation.
The matte finish of the formula is ideal for those with oily skin who struggle to keep their shine at bay during the day. Plus, it contains zero oil which is exactly what you’d want!
On the flip side, for anyone with somewhat dry skin [like myself], the Liquid Silk Foundation will not cling to your dry areas. I believe that this foundation is creamy enough & as the name suggests, silky enough, to give my dry skin a velvet matte finish.
The only downfall with this foundation is the shade range. With a limited range of shades, for fair beauties like myself, you may need to invest in some shade adjusting drops to customise your foundation to match your skin tone perfectly.
Velvet Maxi Lift Airbrush Line Treatment Foundation
I’m going straight to the point here – I love this foundation.
The first time I tried this foundation, I was kinda gobsmacked. Light & gentle on my skin, it had huge coverage pay off & is so buildable it’s not funny!
Plus, applying this foundation is a dream – regardless of whether I’m using a brush or sponge, it blends so perfectly into my skin and gives me that perfect #NoFilter airbrushed finish.
Amazing for travelling, the Velvet Maxi Lift Airbrush Line Treatment Foundation [wow, tongue twister] comes in a squeeze tube which I absolutely love. Why? Because it weighs next to nothing compared to glass bottles & means that I can cut it open when I’m nearing the end of it’s use & scrape the remaining product out. Trust me – you’d be surprised how much product is left in there when you think it’s finished!
This foundation get’s a 10/10 from me. Fantastic coverage & an airbrushed finished – yes please!
Emulsion Pact Soft Focus Foundation
I was browsing through the Mirenesse Cosmetics website recently & just knew this foundation was for me when I saw it.
“Best Hydrating Foundation – Emulsion Pact Soft Focus Foundation” were the 8 simple words that had me itching to cover my face in it. You see, I’m a sucker for a good, hydrating beauty product. I don’t care what it is – makeup or skincare. If it’s hydrating, I need it. And that same rule applies to this foundation.
Now, although I’m usually a liquid foundation lover, the Emulsion Pact Soft Focus Foundation has really impressed me. The light reflecting pigments in the powder compact gives a natural, lit-from-within glow to my skin & doesn’t look like a heap of highlighter smeared all over my face. Thank god.
I only wish that this foundation was a little fuller in coverage. Don’t get me wrong, it looks beautiful on the skin & reduces the image of fine lines, but I just love a good full coverage foundation.
Mind you, applying this foundation on top of one of my lighter coverage liquid foundations makes a perfect mix!
Shona Art Collection 1-Step Contour Stick
I first saw the Mirenesse Cosmetics 1-Step Contour Stick pop up on Instagram a few months back. Beauty bloggers all over the globe were raving about the creaminess of the product & just how easy it is to use.
Regardless of the raving reviews, I had no expectations trying it for the first time. I wanted to see for myself just how it would compare to my cream contour palettes & if it really, well, works I guess! You know how it is, seeing the latest & greatest products pop up on Instagram and wondering if they’re actually worth the hype.
So do I think this contour stick is any good?
Hell yeah! Firstly, let me point out just how freakin’ creamy the formula is. If I had to compare it to something of a similar consistency, I’d say… Butter! It blends like an absolute dream.
However, the only downfall with such a buttery soft formula is that the product might not last as long as your usual contour palette. Because of just how soft it is, you may find yourself using a bit more product.
But hey, when you find a contour product this easy to blend, it’s worth it, right?
