The Best Apps to Boost Blogging & Instagram Productivity

Sometimes being an Instagram-obsessed blogger can be challenging.

Luckily for me, there are geniuses in this world who know how to make our lives easier.

Being able to pick up a device that fits in your palm, touch a glass screen and connect with people all over the world is just incredible.

It’s amazing how we forget how blessed we really are with technology. There are so many things you can do with technology nowadays. Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest – just a few of the great ways to connect with the rest of the world.

So, if you’re obsessed with the online world as much as I am, we’re going to get along just fine…

Keep on scrolling for a list of my current fav apps to help grow your Instagram, increase the quality of your photos and engage with the blogging community.

Pinterest

I swear I am on Pinterest 24/7.

Pinning swatches, blog posts, flat lay inspiration – I love it.

I’m sure that I’ve mentioned Pinterest 100 times already in my blog posts so I won’t ramble on about it. It’s just the perfect platform for inspiration for well.. anything!

Over

I’ve been using this app for a while now and absolutely love it.

It’s perfect for creating graphics & adding text to your images. It’s totally free & customisable.

I love using this app for creating graphics for Instagram.

There is also a huge library full of amazing quotes & pre-made graphics. Bonus!

Facetune

This would have to be my favourite editing app on my phone actually.

The whitening tool is perfect for highlighting & brightening white backgrounds.

You can also sharpen images, remove the dreaded red eye, defocus areas, apply filters and much more.

For a small fee, Facetune is definitely worth the buy.

VSCO

One of the most commonly known editing apps on the market – VSCO.

With a wide range of preset filters, it doesn’t matter if you’re an editing newbie because VSCO makes life easy.

A lot of the greatest Instagram accounts with “themes” use this app to give them that dreamy vibe. Pinterest has so many great theme ideas – drop over and check them out!

Watermark

If you’re not really into Photoshop or can’t justify the cost, then this app is perfect for you.

Pick your font, type your text and add the watermark to your photos.

I prefer the Photoshop method as this is where I do majority of my editing but the app is great for on the go! You can check out my tutorial on how to create a watermark in Photoshop here too.

UNUM

An app that lets you plan out your Instagram feed that doesn’t cost a cent? Yes please.

I am seriously obsessed with this app, it’s probably my most used, to be honest.

Anytime I complete a set of new images I upload them straight to UNUM. Simply hold your finger on each photo and move them around the grid.

The app is laid out just like your normal Instagram feed & you can even view your current feed with it. Just trust me, download it.

Iconosquare

To help grow your Instagram account, I highly recommend trying out Iconosquare. (Oh & they actually have a free trial period where you can see if you like it or not which is handy).

On their site or in the app, you can view your engagement rate, likes and comments received and track a heap more statistics.

It’ll even show you which posts have done better than others and your best hashtags. Iconosquare has really helped me target the right audience on Instagram and increase engagement.

Google Drive

After editing my photos on my computer, I copy all my final copies into my Google Drive folder. The app on my phone is so handy and perfect for on the go. Plus it doesn’t kill the quality of my photos like Facebook does! So the photo you see on Instagram is just as clear as SOOC (straight out of camera). Hooray!
