Now let’s get onto the blogging tools!
NameCheap: One of the first blogging tools I ever bought was my web hosting through NameCheap. In fact, I actually scored my first ever domain through NameCheap for just $1USD. Talk about a bargain! Plus, their customer service team is A+.
BlueHost: Another big player in the online world is BlueHost. They’re one of the most popular hosting providers getting around actually! With hosting packages starting from just $4 per month, you can see why millions worldwide choose to host their blogs through BlueHost.
MailChimp: My current choice of email marketing platform is MailChimp. It’s simple, easy-to-use & does a fabulous job at sending out email bursts to my beautiful subscribers. Plus, they now offer free automation for all users!
ConvertKit: If MailChimp just isn’t for you, not to worry, there’s a reason why ConvertKit is one of the most popular. In fact, check out here why my girl Krista Dickson thinks it’s the bomb.com! I’m convinced to move over to ConvertKit, I just need to find the time to do it! 😅
Adobe Photoshop: Hi my name is Elley & I am a photoshop-a-holic. I have used Adobe Photoshop for years now & can’t get enough of it. Every Pinterest graphic, every worksheet, free resource or photo I edit is done in Photoshop. You might as well say, I live & breathe it.
Canva: If you’re looking for an alternative to design your blog & social media graphics with, Canva is your go-to. There are loads of free, pre-made templates you can simply customise with your blog’s branding & downloading your designs just as easy.
Creative Market: An online marketplace full of creative goods (who would have guessed), Creative Market has everything you need to get… creative! There’s templates, themes, stock photography & more available for instant download.
Oh Tilly Styled Stock Photography: If you struggle with creating beautiful, airy & crisp stock photographs for your blog or social media, look no further than Oh Tilly Styled Stock Photography. And the best part, this Aussie babe offers 3 free photos every month to, well, EVERYONE!
Elegant Themes: With almost half a million happy customers, there’s no denying that Elegant Themes are one of the leading WordPress theme designers. With fully responsive layouts & a cool drag and drop feature, Elegant Themes cater to everyone from the budding blogger to the pros.
Beautiful Dawn Designs: Do you want to know why I love Beautiful Dawn Designs? Because, not only are their WordPress themes incredibly beautiful, super feminine & amazing, but they’re sooooo affordable!
Google Docs: Similar to Microsoft Word (but online), Google Docs is the perfect way to draft blog posts, write eBooks, draft email responses & more! It is, hands down, one of my all-time favouite blogging tools!
Google Drive: All of my Instagram photos, free blog resources & loads more are all stored in Google Drive. Get up to 15gb of free storage on Google Drive, and higher storage plans starting at $2.49AUD for 100gb per month (that’s my plan!).
Dropbox: Before Google Drive, I primarily used Dropbox to store all my documents online. Plans start at $21AUD per month for 2TB so if you’ve got a lot to store, Dropbox is the way to go. Another one of the blogging tools I’d recommend checking out, especially if you’ve got a lot of files to store!
Wave Apps: Since I first started blogging & social media influencing, I’ve used Wave Apps for all of my invoicing & accounting. It’s free, easy-to-use & perfect for all bloggers, newbies & pros alike. I honestly couldn’t live without Wave Apps – it’s just so simple!
Google Sheets: In case you didn’t know, I’m all about spreadsheets. I use Google Sheets to track everything – affiliate links, blog post ideas, my blogging income & expenses and more. Think of Google Sheets like an online version of Microsoft Excel – spreadsheets galore!
Fiverr: If you’re anything like me & lack time to get #allthethings done, Fiverr will be an absolute blessing for you. Here’s how it works: people put up “ads” for tasks they’re willing to do for YOU starting at $5USD. Then, you select them for the job (let’s say you want a logo designed for your blog) and within a matter of [sometimes] hours, your Fiverr pal has done the job for you! How amazing is that?!
LastPass: One word. GAMECHANGER. Considering how often I update my passwords, it’s no wonder I forget them all the time. Luckily for me, LastPass stores all of my passwords for me & is super-dooper secure, so I know my passwords are safe!
Iconosquare: It’s no secret that I love Iconosquare. It’s the perfect Instagram management tool to track all your analytics from top posts to top followers, comment tracking, engagement rates & more. Iconosquare is the ultimate analytics tool for keeping on top of your Instagram & making sure you keep on track with your growth.
UNUM: Planning out your Instagram feed has never been easier thanks to UNUM. This app is, and has been since I started Instagram, one of my most-used and most-loved tools on my phone. Before you post on Instagram, arrange your drafts perfectly to fit the 3 x 3 Insta grid & make your feed drool-worthy.
Tailwind: I honestly do not know where I would be without Tailwind. I can literally schedule months worth of pins in under an hour with Tailwind. And when I have new blog posts to schedule, I just add them in where I need. It’s like running Pinterest on autopilot – perfect for busybodies like me!
BoardBooster: My favourite thing about BoardBooster is their looping feature. I mean, the fact that you can repin old pins on your boards to those same boards & in a few days BoardBooster will remove the one with the least amount of repins, is just phenomenal! It’s a great way to keep your boards active and keep the best of the best circulating the interwebs!
Don’t forget to pin for later! 👇
