In today’s episode, I’m sharing the 12 mindset rituals and habits that I can’t get enough of. I’ll be taking you through each technique, why it’s so powerful and how you can make it your ritual too.

Hello my loves and welcome back to another episode of The Empowered CEO Show!

Lately, I’ve been loving my Mindset Mondays. I’ve shared this on the podcast before when I talked about how I structure my weeks to earn 6-figures and work 20 hours a week

I do mindset work every day of the week, but Mondays are my dedicated mindset day. Today, I want to share with you an overview of the 12 different mindset rituals and practices that I absolutely love doing. 

The key to using any of these rituals is consistency. In business, consistency is everything. It’s not about going crazy for a month and then just backing off, which I know is easy to do sometimes! 

Before we start, keep in mind that what works for me may not work for you. Take what you love and resonate with and leave the rest. 

1. Gratitude

Gratitude is one of the most powerful forces that you can use to magnetise more of what you want to you. Gratitude is when you are appreciative for what you have in the present moment, what you have had in the past, and what you will have in the future. 

The most powerful thing about gratitude is that when you are grateful for what you have, what you have had and what you are going to have, you literally magnetise and attract and manifest more things to be grateful for. 

I will either write things down in my journal, or I’ll just say it out loud. I first heard of this through Manifestation Babe by Kathrin Zenkina, which is where I learned about gratitude rampages. This is where for 60-90 seconds, I just ramble and let my intuition speak about all the things I’m grateful for. You’re essentially speaking out loud and really leaning into the vibration and the emotion of gratitude. 

Write it down, say it out loud, think it in your head, but make sure that you feel it

That is key when it comes to gratitude. Saying it is great, but it’s not going to be half as magnetic as actually feeling the emotion of gratitude.


2. Journaling

There are so many different things you can do with journaling and so many different journaling techniques. You can journal on your future self, your higher self, your CEO self, you can journal through limiting beliefs, on self-love, on gratitude, or you can script. There are so many shifts that you can have through journaling. 

I’m not going to go super in-depth on this one because it’s such a huge topic just by itself. 3. Scripting

This is one particular journaling technique that I did want to share with you today because it is SO powerful. I have a whole episode on scripting here with Rachel Moffett. She is amazing with manifestation, the law of attraction, and she loves scripting. 

Scripting is one of the greatest things you can do to really get yourself into being an energetic match for your desires. When there’s something you desire, the best thing you can do is get yourself into the energy where you feel with absolute certainty that you know it’s going to happen, even if you don’t know-how. It’s about writing out your goals and desires as though they had already happened. 

You can either script ‘in the moment’ on a particular launch or conversation that’s coming up, or you can script on a ‘day in the life’. Let’s say you’re a side-hustler wanting to go full-time – one of the coolest things you can do is script out what your full day is going to be like as a full-time entrepreneur earning X amount of dollars per month working from wherever you want.

Scripting is amazing for the law of attraction and manifestation, and also for shifting your energy and getting into the vibe of your desires.


4. Affirmations

There’s so much conflicting information out there about affirmations. I’m going to tell you what I don’t think they are, and then I’m going to tell you what I do believe them to be.

I don’t believe that affirmations are saying something that you don’t believe out loud until you believe it. 

Here’s the thing. Your subconscious mind will not accept anything that you don’t wholeheartedly believe. It will filter out anything that it thinks is bullsh*t. 

You could repeat your affirmations a million times a day, it could be all you think about and repeat to yourself – but even with that much repetition, if you don’t believe it, it’s not going to work. Don’t bother with affirmations that you don’t believe.

I believe in affirmations that expand my thinking. 

I like to shift into the mindset of the person that I’m becoming or the next level that I’m stepping into. For me to get to that level, what do I need to believe? What does that version of me believe that I don’t yet believe? You want to think like that version of you and then think about what beliefs that version of you has. They’re your affirmations. 

Repetition is key with affirmations. You can’t write them in your journal or say them out loud once and then be done with it. You should be saying your affirmations every day, over and over. The more that you affirm something to yourself, the more it becomes your reality. 

Find affirmations that you can fully get behind and step into. Don’t ever choose an affirmation that feels far from the truth for you, because your subconscious mind is just going to throw it out the door. It’s going to be a waste of your time and energy. 

There are so many different ways you can do affirmations, but I want to share my 3 favourite ways: 

  1. Say them aloud
  2. Write them down
  3. Record them and play them back to yourself

Fun fact – every day when I get ready for the day, I like to play my Money Mantras audio track. It’s my top money mantras and affirmations recorded over music. I say the affirmation in the recording and then I repeat it back to myself.

5. Emotional Freedom Technique

This is also known as EFT or tapping. It’s where you tap on the meridian points on your body to shift your vibration and release anything negative, whether it’s an emotion, belief, pattern or trauma. 

If you’ve never tried EFT and want to learn more about it, Gala Darling is a great resource. Heal is also a great documentary that talks about EFT and the power our mind has over our body.


6. Subliminal Audios

Subliminal audio is very similar to the recorded affirmation track I mentioned earlier, except that the affirmations are played at a frequency where your conscious mind can’t hear them. Even if you try and listen really closely, you won’t be able to hear the affirmations being played underneath the music. It’s a great way to build affirmations into your subconscious mind without actually having to consciously listen to them. 

If you’re someone who listens to a lot of white noise or ambient music, I would suggest switching that for subliminal audios, as you still get the benefit of white noise music, but you also get the benefit of affirmations going into your subconscious mind. 

My favourite subliminal audios are on YouTube. I try to find ones that tell you what the affirmations are in the description, so I can make sure that they’re affirmations I actually want to build into my subconscious! 


7. Meditation

I’ve had a love-hate relationship with mediation. Why? Well, when I first got into meditation, I thought the point was to get rid of ALL your thoughts, to literally ignore them and be in a state of absolute nothingness. It’s great if you can do this, but I thought it was the ONLY way you could meditate. 

Meditation for me now is about calming my mind, tapping into my intuition, getting in touch with myself and calming my breath. It’s not about trying to eliminate the thoughts, it’s about *recognising* the thoughts. 

No matter what my thoughts are, I acknowledge them, recognise that they’re there, thank them and then allow them to leave. I either see them floating in a bubble away from me, or I see myself putting it on a leaf, dropping it into a stream and watching them float away. 

Sometimes I put on music or subliminal audio. Sometimes I set a timer, even if it’s only 5 minutes, or sometimes I’ll just allow myself to meditate for as long as I need. Sometimes I love just doing guided meditations – if you want to give this a try, there are so many available on YouTube, online and in apps. 


8. Visualisation

Visualisation goes hand-in-hand with scripting. Like scripting, it’s one of those things that allows you to get into the energy of having what it is that you desire. 

Where scripting is the process of writing it out, visualisation is about visualising it in your mind. 

Visualising can be so powerful for so many reasons. Obviously, it’s about getting into the energy of having what it is that you’re calling in, but it’s also a really great way to open yourself up to see what’s actually possible and allow yourself to feel what it’s like to have what you want. 

You don’t have to have a super complex strategy for visualisation. Even just practicing visualisation for a small amount of time at a time is really valuable. 

If you aren’t a very visual person, that’s okay! Your other senses can also get involved – you can hear things, smell things, feel things. There’s no right or wrong way to visualise.


9. Oracle Cards

I love checking in with my oracle cards to ask questions and get intuitive guidance. 

I ask myself a question, take a moment to breathe and tap into my intuition, and then shuffle through the deck and choose a card. When I flip the card over and see what it is, I always check in with myself about what I think it means. 

This is really important because Oracle cards come with a book that tells you what the cards mean. I do look at that, but often I’m using my Oracle cards to build my own intuition. 

I’m not going to my cards so that they can give me the answer. I’m going to my cards so that *I* can give me the answer. 

I’m not giving my power away to the cards, I’m using them to check in with my intuition. It’s just one way that you can do that. Of course, you can use these cards however you like, but this is my favourite way to do it.


10. Hypnosis

No, I’m not talking about staged hypnotic trances. 

I’m talking about hypnosis where you’re able to get past the conscious mind to go deeper into the subconscious mind. 

When it comes to taking in a new belief, sometimes getting it down into the subconscious mind is a bit harder, especially if it’s a deep-rooted limiting belief that you’re trying to shift. Hypnosis is a really great way to get past that conscious mind. 

There are so many YouTube videos you can use for hypnosis (YouTube is always the answer!). It’s a great way to embed new beliefs by going into the subconscious part of your mind that allows those beliefs to actually be embedded.


11. Reading

I’ve loved reading ever since I got into the world of personal development, money mindset and business. 

I’m very much a physical hardcopy type of gal – I just love being able to highlight all my favourite points in books, because I often reread books later on in life and I always find new things to highlight. You can read the same thing over and over, but the next time you hear it, you get something else out of it – a different meaning, a different lesson, a different teaching. 

My favourite books are on money mindset, personal development, spirituality and business books that are by real-life people who run their business with ease and flow.

12. Mentors

For me, investing in mentors will forever be my number one way to shift my mindset. 

Investing in 1:1 coaches and high-level masterminds puts me in close proximity with people who have done what I want to do and achieved what I want to achieve. Having that close-up, intimate access to someone’s energy and experience beats everything else in this list for me. 

That’s why I continually invest in mentors. I know that every time I invest in a mentor, it’s going to help me rise to that next level. Not because they have all the answers and the magic formula to show me exactly how to do it, but because I believe in myself. When I believe in myself, I love having someone who is there on the journey with me, doing it with me and expanding with me, who can help to expand my energy and shift my perspectives. 

When I know that I’m ready to rise into my next level, I know that having a mentor by my side can help me to shift into the energy of that next level version of me. They can hold me accountable to that, cheer me on, motivate me, and empower me, all whilst they’re also doing their own work and investing in themselves as well.
